A story of love, sacrifice, pride and betrayal that resonates across the years. It is an exploration of the remarkable life that made an American icon.

At its heart, this is a story of survival.

I liked the uncanny aspects of this story... atmospheric and absorbing, concrete and immersive.

An epic life told with passion and immediacy, this biography is a major contribution.
